Thinking of getting a couple of mugs/soda passes for the kids, what is to keep us parents from drinking from theirs?

Is the system similar to Disney's therme parks where there is a scan bar on the thermal mug?

Keeping you from using the kids soda: honesty

The ships key card gets a sticker on it to indicate the soda pass.
