Liberty-Wine packages

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to clarify a few things regarding wine packages:

1) Can you take unfinished wine bottles back to your cabin?

2) Is it a better deal price wise?

3) Do they allow you to take any unopened bottles that you did not drink during the cruise off the ship?

Thanks in advance,

Carol

Whether a price is a better deal depends on the specific wines you choose. Some wines in the package are cheaper purchased singly than the average price per bottle in the package. If you do a seach here on CC, and look for "wine analysis", you can find a very helpful document that was put together for just this very purpose.

My experience on the Enchantment..we had a group of 11 and purchased the 10 bottle package..They let us take the wine with us, opened and unopened from the dining room..at the end of our 5 day voyage, we had 2 bottles left and we were able to take it off the ship..It was a better deal doing the package...But all wine had to be dispensed at the dining room ( or specialty dining room)....We were surprised we didn't consume the entire 10 bottles during the 5 days with such a large group...but we had many that wanted "boat" drinks and beer...

And also, I confirm the answers to the orginal post..yes, yes and yes...

I'm going to add to your questions list...

Can you have a bottle of the wine just in your stateroom, or must it be opened and started in the MDR?

If you're asking about wine from the wine package, once you are in the dining room you can ask for as many bottles from your package as you like, and take them opened or unopened back to your stateroom.

If you're asking about a single bottle of wine purchased from a bar (not part of a wine package), you can also take this back to your stateroom, open or unopened.
