Bermuda weather plus air and water temp

Expect nice weather next week? Is water temp in the ocean warm enough for snorkling? diving?

The water temperature in Bermuda today was 68 degrees F. It should be warmer next week.

We went the week of May 12th a few years ago. The water wasn't bath water but it is warm enough for snorkeling and diving.

At what point would y'all say the water gets really comfortable? June? How long does that last--through September?

I've swam in Bermuda waters from June 2nd through mid-October and the water has always been plenty warm.

For jbd...

We went to Bermuda May 4th last year for a 7 day cruise with another cruiseline. We went snorkeling and were prepared that the water temperatures might not be as warm as we would have liked. (We had gone in July in 2002 and while the water temperatures were very warm...the air temperatures were exceedingly too hot)

 

We were quite surprised to find the early May water temperatures to be to our liking...just the right temp to be refreshing. The air temperatures were in the mid to high 70's. We felt it the perfect time of year to go to Bermuda...so much so that we are going again this year on May 23rd.

P.S. If it is any help...we just returned from the DAWN and snorkeling in the Bahamas (April 25 to May 2) and found the air and water temperatures to be perfect. Even though the Bahamas are further south than Bermuda, I would think that you should be O.K. for your week of cruising!

We have gone swimming at Elbow Beach as late as early November. The hotel gives you a certificate for November swimming.
