compass rewards question

Recommended Posts

We may be booking a cruise tomorrow through Cruises-n-More and want to use our compass rewards certificate. The problem is that the cruise is in July so we will have to pay the full amount. When I asked the TA how we can do that online and get the rewards applied, she said that NCL told her that we should pay the full amount, send the TA our certificate, they send it to NCL who then credits our credit card the amount of the certificate. When I called NCL to confirm this, they said to deduct the amount of the compass rewards from the total when we book online (I'm not sure that the website will even allow me to do that).

I'm wondering if anyone else has run across the same situation, trying to book online close to cruise time when you have to pay in full, not just a deposit. Any suggestions, ideas, experience you can share?

Thanks in advance icon_confused.gif

Have you already requested the certificate?

It usually only takes a week or two to get it even though they tell you six weeks. I've only used the rewards with a local TA. It just makes me more comfortable. She was able to get them to hold my cabin for a short period. I was using the certificates to pay for the entire cruise.
