ChicagoBound Posted January 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2012 I'm thinking about hiking to the Seven Sisters waterfalls. But I'd love to go to Grand Anse Beach. If my wife and I get off the ship shortly after it arrives (8:00 a.m.), and grab a taxi to the waterfalls, do people think we'll have enough time in the afternoon to go over to Grand Anse Beach for an hour or two?? Our ship leaves at 5:00 p.m., so I'd want to be back by 4:00 p.m. I planned on hiring a taxi since other people recommended it, and it sounds like it's cheaper that the ship excursions. I'd then have the taxi take us over to Grand Anse right afterwards. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks!
mysparky Posted January 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2012 You should definitely have time. We followed this same plan last April when we were in Grenada....hired a taxi for the day, had him drive us to Seven Sisters trail head, hiked to the waterfall (beautiful) and after we went to Grand Anse Beach for about 2 hrs. Following the beach we had our driver drop us off by the spice market and spent about 30 mins there before heading back to the ship.
ChicagoBound Posted January 24, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Thanks! Do you recall how much the taxi cost? Just curious.
mysparky Posted January 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 26, 2012 I believe our total was around $150 - $25/per hour.
