Where to stay in Seattle??

We are taking a cruise which ends in Vancouver. Plans are to take the Princess shuttle from Vancouver to Seattle airport, but will have to spend the night in Seattle before catching our flight home on Sunday. Is the cruise shuttle the besst/cheapest way to get to Seattle? Where should we stay for the one night before catching our flight? What is the best way to get back/forth from airport?

What time would Princess drop you at the airport? Princess might get to SeaTac earlier than other options which must follow a daily schedule. The earlier you get checked in or drop off your luggage, the sooner you can sightsee. :) Keep in mind that Seattle has long days too.

 

Other options are ....Amtrak Cascades train (and bus), Quickcoach, Horizon Airlines, rent a car.

(Amtrak station is about a mile south of the downtown Seattle core. Quick Coach drops you at the airport.)

If you use Princess and stay by the airport, the cheapest way to go into Seattle for a little sightseeing is via the Central Link Light Rail Service. $2.75 each way pp, and it takes 40 minutes to get from the airport to the last stop which is Westlake Center in the heart of downtown.
