CoCo Cay Ok for kids?

Recommended Posts

Going to CoCo Cay for the first time. This is our 13th cuise with RCCL, However we have never been to the private island. I know RCCL's policy on topless sunbathing on the ship..... Are they the same on the island beaches and are they enofrced. I have no problem either way I just want to know what to expect when my 12 year old hits the beach.

Just got back 4/9/05 and did not see any nude sun bathers. There are different areas to go to like in a park with hammocks and seating all over the place. Water pretty deep (8-9 ft) I'd say about 20 ft from the shore but it goes back up to aroud 2 ft. If you bring your own snorkle gear you have to wear a vest ($6 for vest rental only). Complete snorkle equip incl vest was around $27. Snorkling was OK, nothing to write home about but better than Nassua or regular beaches.

At CocoCay there are typically some Adventure Ocean activities for the 12-14 year olds as well -- as I recall, I think they had a sand volleyball tournament and maybe a water balloon fight or something???

Its great for kids of all ages, there is no topless sunbathing there. You will all have a great time.
