You can still put cash in the machine but you should always have your sign and sail card in the machines to earn points and all payouts will go to the sign and sail card as well. When ever you want to get the cash, you go the cage and tell them to cash you out or tell them give me 100 off of it. Its your choice.

As far a machine payouts, it will depend on the ship. On my Carnival cruises I have always put the money on my sign and sail card. Last year on a RCL ship the payouts were in quarters:mad:. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time on the table games.

I have become a little confused about how to play and cash out in the casino. Do you still put the money in the machine, or do you put in sign and sail card in the slot and play off of it? How do you actually cash out?

On NCL the CAS (Casinos at Sea) card carries no money. It merely serves to identify you for your points.

Slots: Cash or ticket in, Ticket out. Cash in your tickets at the casino cage.

Tables: Cash in, chips out. Cash in your chips at the casino cage.
