National Express LHR to Southampton

I have read several comments about using this inexpensive transportation to get to Southampton. However no one has mentioned the 44 pound (20kg)

limit on luggage. Since Virgin Air allows 70 pounds per and many other airlines do also on inernational flights, I would like to hear comments on personal experience from those that have used this "Greyhound" type bus.

I used it once to get to Heathrow from Bournemouth, and was told that I could take only one suitcase, they didn't mention weight allowances. When I boarded the bus they also took my carryon bag and put it in the hold. No-one that I saw had more than one bag. The driver was quite 'surly' and I wouldn't use them again.

I have used them twice with a big bag (weight ~ 50 pounds) per person plus wheeled carry on. All were put in the luggage compartment. No comment was made about the bags. Definitely would use again.
