Hotel recommendation in NYC needed

Hi,

We are taking a family cruise in June on the Carnival Triumph. Any hotel recommendations?

Some of the reviews online are 50/50 so it is hard to decide.

 

We need a total of four rooms and would like them to be clean and in a safe neighborhood.

 

We favor boutique hotels rather than chains if they are decent.

really depends how much you want to spend.

 

If you can give us an idea of budget, maybe we can give you some ideas.

From what I know there really aren't any hotels close to the port.

they seem to have decent rates and several boutique hotels come up.

 

I have not stayed at any but there seem to be good reviews of both the Paramount and the Time hotels...in the times square area.

 

 

As an alternate, you could try staying in Jersey City or near Newark Airport. May save you money but you will have to figure in transport to the pier. However, since there are many of you, you could check on limo/van services.

The Ramada New Yorker is a nice hotel but the rooms are EXTREMELY small. It is one of the less expensive hotels in NY.

We stayed at the Hotel Edison many years ago. Its at Times Square, was clean and close to everything.
