mariakitty Posted May 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2004 In 1990 my family sailed Carnival for the Christmas cruise. I think I have the wrong ship name in my signature, so I will clarify that later. The ship was at maximum capacity, but what a fantastic time we had! Christmas morning was picture perfect in St. Thomas and we all still talk about that holiday. The kids in my party had a great time and I loved the freedom of doing what I wanted. I would expect more children on the Thanksgiving cruise as well, but I don't remember kids being a problem on the ship and I am definitely "into" kids on my holidays. You should expect so have a lot of people on the ship, but you would on any ship at anytime so I don't think it's a big deal. You are going on your honeymoon, right? Try some intimate restaurants with tables for two and you won't know anyone is on that ship with you. I regret not going on a cruise for my honeymoon as we chose a land package to Tahiti and I guarantee you will have a better time! Sorry for the babbling. It's late, I'm tired, and too excited for cruising! tef43 Posted May 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Holiday sailings are typically sold out months in advance, and typically overflowing with kids. With one exception, Celebrity's adults-only 11-day cruise over New Years. I am *so* there. Eleven cruises so far. Up next: Shhhh, it's a surprise! Followed by: Carnival Valor 10/30/05 CC Group And then: Carnival Spirit 12/10/05 Mexican Riviera Perhaps something else as well. Watch this space. Dance like it hurts, love like you need money, and work when somebody's watching.
