MAJOR news on The Gold Coast

Recommended Posts

What a load of nonsense.

Those cruises went very well:).

The company ran the number of cruises from those locations

that their research and previous experience told them were appropriate

to the respective population numbers.

As said by Barry, the discounts were proof of the pudding - necessary due to the number of vacancies remaining. Added to that was that each of these ports had sailings discontinued. When the demand is there, they will be able to continue those voyages each season.

Ron Clarke, the former Gold Coast mayor, is running as an independent in the current Queensland state elections. Anything to get political attention when you don't belong to a major political party - enough said!

Local people in the vicinity of Main Beach, The Spit, Wavebreak Island, and South Stradbroke Island on the Gold Coast do not want a cruise terminal on the Gold Coast.

Quite ironic and certainly a rich comment given the destruction to the natural environment caused by the over development of all those people of Main Beach, The Spit, et al have caused by moving up there in the first place. You do realize before the 1960's people were saying the same thing about the area you now call home......
