Blue Lagoon Camera Question

I actually have 2 questions about cameras and the dolphin encounter at Blue Lagoon. First, are you allowed to take photos while taking part in the dolphin encounter? And secondly, I've got a dslr I will have with me so I was wondering if there was a place to lock up valuables there? I don't really want to go back to the ship just to get my camera so I'd like to just take it off with me. If anybody could answer these questions I would appreciate it!

Yes, you may take pictures. They have lockers for you to put your stuff in while you are doing the encounter.

You can't take pictures from the lower platform while playing with the dolphins, but you can from the dock before and after. (or have a friend).

 

You will be too busy petting, kissing and playing with the dolphins to be holding an expensive camera.

 

Plus, the dolphin gets distracted.

 

I know that some people have used small throw aways, which were permitted, but the tour operator will not be held responsible for cameras getting wet or ruined

So are the small waterproof ones okay then? I have one of those too.
