Liquor store/grocery near Best Western Plus Fort Lauderdale

We are staying at BW Plus Fort Lauderdale - 1221 W State Road 84. Flying in so can't bring any liquids and will need a grocery for sunblock and hopefully a couple bottles of wine.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I did google map it and appears there is a Big Daddy's Liquors and perhaps a mall, not sure how current the information is. Thank you.

Yes there is a shopping mall/plaza across the road from your hotel called Southland Plaza. There is a Big Daddies liquor store, a Winn Dixie grocery store, a Big Lots and a few other stores. For food: right beside your hotel is a McDonalds. In the plaza there is Wendys, Subway, a pizza place, a Thai/Chinese place called Ruby Chen's that gets good reviews, and across from the far end of the plaza is Old Heidelburg, a German restaurant that is supposed to be good too.

We stayed at The Hampton Inn right by your hotel, in November and are staying there again in 2 weeks before our next cruise. We liked the area because it is close to both the airport and cruiseport and shopping is close by for any last minute things needed before the cruise.
