Kids Crew Tipping on Sky

What is a good average tipping recommendation for the kids crew staff on a 4 day Sky sailing?

 

I have read some of the other posts on this topic but the Sky is very port intensive so the kids will only be there for a couple of hours in the evening as there are no sea days. We will have 3 kids in the 6-9 group and 1 Teen.

I have no idea what the average going rate is, but we tipped $20 for the week for one 5 year old who went 3 evenings and part of an afternoon. He was there less than 8 hours in total.

The crew working the "Kid's club" is not "service" personnel.....they are not expecting tips. If you feel your counselor has gone above and beyond, then tip! If not...there's no need to. They are professionals....trained to do what they're paid to do.

I agree that tipping is optional for the kids crew staff. Please do remember that they do work 7 days a week for 3-8 months at a time and they are NOT included in the DSC that is charged to your account daily. They are great people. You can tip in a couple different ways to them, they can charge your keycard through their computer terminal for a tip only, you can tip cash, or you can go to guest services. The first 2 methods require all staff to divide the gratuity evenly amongst themselves while the last method add it to their pay at the end of the month.
