Coach to Southhampton

Can someone tell me any info about coaches to Southhampton from Central london.

The best site with all the links to/from London I found was www.londontoolkit.com . We ended up booking a train at 5 pounds each from London to Southampton (through www.thetrainline.com)

As above, go by train.

There's a half 10ish from Victoria to SOU for £5 if booked early enough. Takes about 2 1/2 hrs mind.

Or a regular 90min ish service from Waterloo for about £35.

Or Paddington and change Reading.

The best place to get a coach is Heathrow bus terminal (terminal 3) as you miss the traffic in London and stop in Winchester which is very nice for a 10 min stop. National express usually takes about an hour and a half and costs about £15 per person one way, you then get a taxi from Southampton bus terminal to the ship which costs about £10 (the prices are based on what we paid last january).

I have booked a transport by coach from Victoria train station to the ship. This transfer was offered by Cunard on embarcation day. It costs USD 49 pp.

We are a couple of older inexperienced travellers and had no trouble catching the train with a lot of luggage as we were away for 7 weeks. When we got to Southampton, shared a cab with another couple who looked a bit lost like us and it was pouring with rain.
