patience32 Posted April 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2012 I am sure in the past I have read of an open deck area on deck 5 ? Am I imagining it or does it exist ? If it does exist could someone kindly tell me how to access it ? Many thanks
pepperrn Posted April 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2012 I am sure in the past I have read of an open deck area on deck 5 ? Am I imagining it or does it exist ? If it does exist could someone kindly tell me how to access it ? Many thanks There is no open deck area on Deck 5 (for passengers). Deck 5 has cabins almost the whole length of the ship (crew forward of "A" stairs, passengers aft of "A" stairs). There is a covered "Crew Only" promenade area at the stern of Deck 5 however. There is an open area at the stern of Deck 6, maybe that is what you are thinking of? There are photos of this Deck 6 area via the link below. Hope this helps. patience32 Posted April 16, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted April 16, 2012 Thanks Pepper I was trying to think of a good vantage point to watch the jubilee celebrations. Just in case the weather isn't great for top deck
pepperrn Posted April 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2012 Thanks Pepper I was trying to think of a good vantage point to watch the jubilee celebrations. Just in case the weather isn't great for top deck  There are covered parts of the Deck 7 Promenade Port & Starboard towards the stern, and again towards the bow. There is also shelter on the Deck 8 Terrace Bar area (but a long way from any rail) accessed from Deck 7 near the entrance to Princess Grill. There is the covered area forward on Deck 13 above the bridge (but that may seem remote). Whatever you do, have a great time, Bon Voyage!
