Quick Question for Native Floridians???

How far a drive is it from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale? Does anyone know of a rental car agency that is cheap on one-way rentals?

While I'm not a native Floridian, I have children living in Ft. Lauderdale and drive this route often. Taking the Fl Turnpike, it's about 200 miles and 3 hours.

I don't know if they are cheap or not but Budget has an office close to the cruise terminal in Ft Lauderdale where you can drop off your rental car and then they take you to the cruise dock in a large van. We have done a one way rental several times with them and are doing another for our next cruise.

I live in Jacksonville, and made it to Fort Lauderdale in 4 hours back in October. I guess it depends on traffic, but, I would agree with 3 hours by the time you get out of Orlando and all.

Native Floridian here temporarily living in New Hampshire. You should expect a 200 miles trek from Orlando airport to Ft. Lauderdale. The drive will take you on the FL turnpike and then I-95. Depending on traffic conditions, the drive takes

3 - 3 1/2 hours. Not sure about the rental. Check sidestep for your dates. :D
