Casino drink card on board the Epic

Recommended Posts

Thank you, I did just that from a number I found on my TR card. After going through the discounts that are made available to me (5% for Gold Members) and booking at todays rate, it turns out I would actually be paying more with the discount. We booked over a year in advance and I got a good rate as well as a nominal OBC. So for all my effort in Las Vegas to accumulate the 1500pts it is not worth a thing....live and learn.

So what advice would you have for a newbie to NCL

Im loyal to carnival but feel like they could do more for big players so im looking into trying NCL

Im thinking We need to call the CAS and give them my total rewards number and see what they can do based on my play on land.It cant be worse than carnival(although we love carnival)

If you have no history with CAS don't call them. There's a number on Caesars website to call for discounts on NCL cruises. (I think it may have been posted earlier on this thread.) The discount will be based on your Total Rewards tier level. I have a Diamond card and got 20% off on my next 2 cruises.

The 1500 points you earned in Las Vegas wouldn't have gotten you a drink card anyway. You need to accumulate the points onboard for that.

Ohh ok .Im diamond as well 20% off is a good start .Now will we qualify for the drink card or does this need to earned with the 1500 points like Carnival

Now I also read that you can get free cruise fare as well(carnival offered us 2 which were in California so the airfare was horrible) ,Hopefully once we book they will see our play and take care of us.At least they are partially owned by an actual casino and know comps

My husband is Diamond with TR & a few months ago we booked a cruise thru the number on the TR website for NCL discounts. While we did get the 20% discount, he was told the automatic free drink card was stopped. Must get the 1500 pts. on board to get one. That was a recent change, as our cruise in Dec. we all rec'd the cards in our cabin on the first day. For people who booked prior to the change, but not sailing until after the change became effective, they said they will still honor that perk.

I believe when you get offers for comped cruises you get the card without having to first accumulate the 1500 pts. He did one of those sailing in Jan. & rec'd the card in his cabin. That was just about when the change took place.

I think their policy is pretty fair. You can still earn the drink card, and I'm pretty sure you get it automatically if you've booked through CAS. They send some chocolates and stuff too. I'm looking forward to moving up the ranks of the latitudes program too. Between the two it'll be a good amount of perks. I've heard from others that some people get free cruises for tournaments too. I did pretty good last cruise and hit a few machines, but I played a lot so I think I'm the type of player they want to invite.

I'll be really happy when I get to top latitudes, top level CAS cardholder, get offered some free tourneys and actually win enough each cruise to offset what I've spent on the cruise AND gambling. But I'll settle for most of the above as long as winning is one of them.

I would consider calling CAS directly to book if I were you. They may comp or discount your cruise based on your play in their casinos. You'll get the drink cards and on this last cruise I received chocolates and a plate of cookies in my room. Also, and I think this was more based on table play than slot play, I received a hundred bucks off on my bill. Between the credit and the drink cards we probably saved over a thousand. We used the drink cards for the bulk of our purchases of alcohol on the ship this time and it made a big difference in the bill.
