Two more questions, We leave next week!!

Any suggestions where I can take my grandson to gold pan (or watch) in a creek? Don't care about stocked results (i.e. sand in bags). I thought we could see this at Liarsville, but don't know if we can get in (not on tour). Tried calling and faxing, no response. Know of anywhere else (Talkeetna, Denali, Seward, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan)? Also, have you every heard of anyone crazy enough to drive to Carcross in the morning, then taking last train round trip (train leaves at 4:15). I really, really want to do both, but don't want to take a chance on taking a disruptive 7-year-old on tour bus. Thanks, again.

There used to be gold panning right on Broadway in Skagway. I would try and contact Liarsville when you get there. There may be tours at the dock for them.

Doing both the Klondike drive and train is a full day, the 7 year old probably won't have much interest in either, since it is scenery based. A lot of time tied up?
