Do pools remain open while docked in port?

We've cruised with several different cruiselines, but not with Holland America. Some ships close the pools while in port, and since we like to stay on board this is a negative for us. Can someone tell us if Holland America keeps the pools open while docked?

HAL pools remain open on port days. They are usually closed (they put nets over the water to keep people out of the pools) on embaration/disembarkation day until mid afternoon and then are opened.
