Question on cabin upgrade 30 days out?

I have booked a cat 11 (Balcony cabin, but it is obstucted) cabin on the Imagination for June 16th, and am looking to upgade into a cat 12 or even to a better cat11. The problem is there are none avalible in either at this time and the rep for carnival says that i should just call every day and check to see if anything comes up. Just wondering if it is likely to happen or is it just a waste of my time to call every day with the cruise only about a month out.

Problem is, there are not that many available on these ships... and they usually sell out quickly... if someone cancels within the last 30 days, you may luck out, but you just have to keep checking... I would say that it is "unlikely" but not completely impossible...

I inquired as well about the upgrades since I have booked a CAT11 but what is the chance of them bumping me up to a Penthouse... I dont think its likely they would but hey ya never know!! Good Luck with it!
