Guarantee Cabins - when are they allocated

We are going on Carnival Breeze on 14th August - we have booked guarantee cabin, when on average do Carnival allocate cabins?

It really depends...I've had a GTY assigned a few weeks before sailing and once at the pier when we showed up (and I had been checking up until the night before and still no assignment.)

 

That's the hard part about the GTY...waiting! But, at least for me, I've never been assigned a bad cabin using GTY.

Typically a week or two before the cruise, but anything can and will happen though.

That's the fun of it!! Just wandered if there was a "normal" time when they are done. Thanks for the replies
