cbd317 Posted June 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2012 I just found out why our cruise was so inexpensive. It's because it's Emancipation/Somers Day in Bermuda during out 3 days there. While I want to enjoy the "local" festivities, I would also like to show my kids the beaches! It appears that Horseshoe Bay will be completely off limits due to crowds. Any suggestions from anyone? With public transporation on Holiday schedule would it be safer or more dangerous than normal to rent scooters or a boat rental? I'm trying to stay upbeat (I WILL have fun, I WILL have fun) to experience the holiday, but I gotta tell you. I'm depressed I did not research this more before booking.... This is me, kicking myself in the butt.....
Sauer-kraut Posted June 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2012 I can't really help you, but have you tried asking your question over on the Bermuda board? There might be someone over there that will be more helpful. Good luck! You will have a good time! ;)
