Hi,

 

I booked and fully paid our cruise 2 months ago and just saw NCL new promo about kids sail free.

Does anyone know if I can ask for an upgrade instead or better cancel my booked cruise and book a new one to to get a better deal.

I book our cruise thru a travel agent and our cruise is going to Easter Med from Rome in December.

 

Hoping to get a good advice from experienced cruisers :-)

You can certainly cancel and rebook. You have to cancel through your TA though (and find out if they have any penalties for cancellation).

Make sure it is worth it to rebook. Did your room's price go up since you booked? Will you loose any on board credit? Did you get any extra lattitudes points that you will now loose? And, as this poster said, are there cancellation fees involved?

Called my TA and she said that we will loose $800 as cancellation fee.

But if I reconsider my cruise option as travelling later on or change itinerary, then there will be no charge. I guess the best to do is consider an upgrade to a mini suite.
