Hotels by LGA?

There really isn't anything around La Guardia airport. The area is not too safe and you would have to travel to see any sites in the city. Why would you want to stay there when everything is happening in Manhattan? I would choose to stay in Manhattan instead. It would be a much nicer start to your cruise.

Have you ever used Priceline? check this website for tips on bidding for hotels www.biddingfortravel.com. You could probably get a decent hotel through Priceline for not much more than what a decent hotel near LGA would cost.

Anyone have feelings about the hotels by LGA? We are in town, (what a Indiana thing to say!) for 2 days before our cruise and are considering staying by LGA. :)

I think it's a bad idea. There is nothing around there you'd want to see, do, visit or eat.

You're going to be spending all of your time in Manhattan, so commuting back and forth to your hotel 4 times a day (if you want to freshen up before dinner) will add about 3-4 hours of commuting time to you day.

Stay in the city and enjoy waling all over the place!

Jane
