cab fare

Does anyone know what the cab fare would be from the ship terminal to the Holiday Inn/Superdome for 2 ?

A flat rate of $7 per person, plus an additional $1 gas surcharge.

Yep, doesn't matter if you're going 2 blocks or 10, $7 bucks a head. Awful, I know, but........

The surcharge was added about three months ago, and the City Council just renewed it. The cab drivers were really taking a beating from gas prices.

 

By the way, we were in Alex this past weekend, but didn't get a chance to visit restaurants you recommended. Thanks anyway.

I hope the cab driver I had last time has found his way around Nola by now. We were staying at Hilton-Riverside & had to tell him how to get to the pier. Where do they get these people? :rolleyes:
