Zach1213 Posted July 19, 2012 #2 ย Share Posted July 19, 2012 Can someone explain why flight prices would be so expensive on December 1st? Is it because it's close to the American Thanksgiving? I'm baffled any insight? It's a whole week after Thanksgiving, so probably nothing to do with that. It could have to do with your destination or origin and something going on in one that has upped the demand. If you let us know your origin, destination and possible layover city, that might help. Right now, we can't help with just a date. Also, what's your definition of "expensive"?
digertwo Posted July 19, 2012 Author #3 ย Share Posted July 19, 2012 Going my Syracuse to Fort Lauderdale...but looking more closely now it looks like only Jet Blue is through the roof for that day. Maybe they think free baggage fees are worth 200 :)

Maybe they think free baggage fees are worth 200 :) ย It's probably just the price of going to Florida during the cold weather months in the north. I'm finding one-way fares on Delta from $143 with tax, US Airways from $205 with tax...which I personally believe are pretty good fares. So I definitely do recommend looking elsewhere if JetBlue is too expensive, which it appears they are by several hundred dollars.
