Just wondering...I have a Royal Caribbean Visa card that supposedly gave me 10,000 points when I signed up. This can be used for $100 OBC. Has anyone ever done this and how do I get the OBC?

You have to make at least one charge. The points should show up the 1st or 2nd bill after the charge.

Don't be surprised if you don't see the 10,000 points right away. I just got it two months ago, and 5,000 points showed up after my first charge and I called, worried that something didn't go right. The other 5,000 showed up after the first billing cycle closed. :D

 

I haven't redeemed anything yet - just racking them up before October!

They have made it very easy to redeem your points. You do it right online, I just redeemed 35,000 points and it was applied to my reservation within 3 days.

 

Keep in mind that the OBC is great, but that represents just a 1% benefit. If you can wait an accumulate 25,000 points you start getting into more significant benefits such as a free companion fare on a 4 night cruise, etc...
