Has anyone taken a ferry to Ischia while ship is docked in Naples?

How long is ferry ride? Which port in Ischia did ferry dock? How did you get info on ferry departure times, etc. How long did you have on Ischia before return ferry?

ANY information would be helpful! Thanks!

We already responded to your post on the other board ("other") where you posted the same question. But in keeping with the wonderful CC tradition (let no question go unanswered here is the same answer to go with your same question :)

We did it 2 years ago when we were looking for something different (we have been to Naples many times). Ischia was a bit underwhelming since much of the charm of the island seems to be related to its resorts. There are public buses and you can cheaply take a bus around the entire island (in either direction). To be honest we only went there out of desperation (have done everything else too many times) and it is not a place worth a 2nd visit. What did catch our eye was the even smaller island of Procida (we passed in on the way to Ischia) which might be a future trip
