Dawn Penthouse amenities?

Hi,

This is my first NCL cruise and DH booked an aft penthouse with balcony, deck 8. I've read about possible noise but that's not a real concern as we are both night owls ourselves:)

Anyhow I've searched the boards and the web but found no answer (I'm certain it's my ineptitude searching rather than a dearth of information) to my quesions regarding amenities offered in the SF class.

NCL's site says:

XCLUSIVE AMENITIES ON SUITES AND PENTHOUSES

Special Services

Distinctive keycard

Butler & concierge service

Butler to unpack your luggage

Eats, Treats and Libations

Champagne, custom selection of liquor, fruit, bottled water and sodas

Sparkling wine, bottled water and fruit on Embarkation Day

Mini-bar and espresso/cappuccino machine

24-hour Room Service

Special Suite menus

Treats delivered right to your door each night

Thoughtful Touches

Bliss Collection by Norwegian™ pillow-top mattress

Fine linens, feather duvet and pillow menu

Plush bathrobes, slippers and towels

Arrival and Departure

Priority embarkation and disembarkation

Escort to suite

Priority boarding of tenders to shore

How does priority embarkation work:confused:Also, I thought I had read something about breakfasts and lunches in Cagney's rather than the main dining room or buffet. Any info or a nudge in the right direction to look will be most appreciated:)

Thanks,

BTW we will be on the Dawn out of Tampa 27 Jan '13

Just to make sure you know. The real champagne and included bottles of alcohol, as well as unlimited soft drinks and bottled water, are only for Owner's Suites and above. You will have a bottle of sparkling wine and a bottle of water on embarkation though. Also, the contents of the minibar are not complimentary, but the coffee machine is. Your butler will stock your preferred type of coffee and will give you a lesson in how to use the machine if you want.

Yes, breakfast and lunch is available at no charge in Cagney's for full suite guests. It's a great perk that I hope you enjoy as much as we have. Priority boarding varies by ship and embarkation port, but generally involves a special check in line, a meeting with the butler or concierge, and (sometimes) an escort to your suite or to Cagney's for your first lunch.

Enjoy!

We just left the Penthouse suite this morning on the Star. Embarkion was not the best. We arrived around 11:15 and waited in a too small priorty waiting room with over 100 peop,e for about 45 minutes until the concierge announced that he would be taking all of us up to Cagney's for lunch. We were at the end of thhe line (I am not fond of crowds) and it did take awhile to seat us but once we were seated everything was forgiven. Breakfast and lunch at Cagneys for us is by far the best perk of a suite. It was so nice to have a intimate quiet place for breakfast and lunch away from the crowds at the buffet/pool area and the service could not have been better.

Disembarking was incredicrbly fast. We met the consierge at 7:45am for priority disembarkation and we were off the ship and through customs in 5 minutes. I was at my home on Long Island by 9:15. It couldn't have been better.

Enjoy your cruise and penthouse - I miss it already!
