We haven't been back on any of the M class ships since they were "solsticized" .

We like to dance of an evening ... so if anyone can help, we'd like some information on whether or not Constellation still offers dancing in the Rendezvous lounge every night ???

We'd appreciate any information.

The rendevous lounge is still there, can't guarantee dancing every night, but on my last cruise they did. Enjoy.

The rendezvous lounge is a great lounge on the M and C class. Too bad they don't have one like it on the S class ships. It is a much nicer area than the passport bar for music, dancing and entertainment.

Perhaps, they should millenniumisize the S class ships to add it some place. The underutilized Celebrity Central area and the disco there come to mind as possible spots.

Hi there..we've met youself /wife /other Martini club members before, although we haven't been sailing recently with Celebrity for the lack of a nice dance floor like the Rendezvous lounges offered. The new S style ships where dancing happens at the bottom of a central staircase was absolutely useless as an idea IMO .... it drove us to a competitor cruiseline providing old style good dance floors. However we are about to go back on an M class ship and are hoping the old Rendezvous dance floor still exists. Time will tell I suppose!!!

The M class still have the Rendezvous although they've closed the hole in the ceiling which allowed views from the lounge above and they've completely changed the character and location of the once fantastic, but still pretty good, Martini Bar.

The Century also has another bar that the M class lacked, the Crystal Room, which is sort of a cross between the Rendezvous and the sky lounge.

We're not big ball room dancers, but I know those that are have been very disappointed in the change for the S class ships. We miss some of the events there too. Some of the late night parties in the S class atrium have been very lively but there is no good place to view the fun and little or no sitting room. Also, with loud late night music in the atrium you do get a little noise in cabins near the mid ship elevators for a little while if you retire to bed early - but this wasn't a big issue for us even when we did so.

The Ensemble lounge on the S class makes a good alternative to the Rendezvous for just having a drink and/or socializing. They don't do dancing there and it would be too small for that in any event. They do have some soft music there (jazz, guitar singer, quartet, etc.) but it isn't the best venue for that either - although it is very nice to have a venue just for that sort of music.

Thanks for the additional info...we are still unsure if we want to spend money on another Celebrity cruise even on an M class ship (which we would enjoy more than the S class) ..since the former facility choices we used to have on the M class ships apparently may no longer exist.

We have found an alternative cruiseline that still offers what we want out of any cruise , so perhaps it might be more sensible to stick with it. It's such a pity that all the time we have invested with Celebrity (since the early 90's) is really just becoming a memory now. I counted all our Celebrity cruises today and the total even surprised me!
