Jitney schedule? Catching Jitney from Sheraton back to port?

I already found the instruction on how to find the Jitney from the port to the Sheraton (Thanks to everyone here and Scubagirl).

Anyone have an idea what time they Jitney start running?

We will be in port from 7AM-4PM. I want to be at Sheraton before or around 9AM, just wondering if the Jitney will be available that early in the morning?

Also, is it easy to catch the Jitney or Taxi from the Sheraton back to the dock area? Is it on the same side of Sheraton or across the street when going back to the dock?

Thanks alot in advance :D

Jitney's start running at 6pm.. should be no problem getting to the sheraton by 9am. Beaches and pools open at 9.

Going back, the pick up point is just outside the sheraton..there's a bus stop sign.

Are you able to get a day pass at the Sheraton? If so how much and how do you go about getting the pass?

Yes, it's 6am.. last ride back is around 6:30.

As for passes, you have to go to the front desk.. same day. Passes are $25pp. 1/2 price for kids. No food or drink included.

We were in the Disney Dream Cruise last week and as part of our Nassau excursion, we went to the Sheraton in Cabbage Beach.

1. Upon exiting the Festival Place, walked one block straight and turned left onto Bay St. Walked 3-4 blocks to George St and on the corner you'll see the jitney #10 stop.

2. Boarded the jitney and told the drive to drop us off at the Sheraton. The trips takes a bit longer compared to a taxi since the driver will be picking up/dropping off passengers along the way. But overall the trip is not that long, gives you an opportunity for sightseeing and experience local transportation. Just like everyone mentioned here, fare is $1.25 but be sure to have exact change (although I see a local paid with $5 for two person and getting $2 back from the driver).

3. There will be a stop for Sheraton/Wyndham on Cabbage beach and then you cross the street to the Sheraton Hotel entrance. One neat thing here, vehicles will stop for you when they see you about to cross the street.

4. Walked straight to the Sheraton counter and paid for the $25 day pass for each person. They will accept credit card (just be sure your credit card company does not charge foreign transaction fees e.g. Capital one).

5. The Sheraton experience is excellent. Not a lot of people on that day and we were able to use some of the water facilities as part of the package (kayak, pedal boats, snorkels). There's a casino nearby if you need to try your luck. We did not try the food since we stuffed ourselves during breakfast and brought (sneaked in) some sandwiches with us.

6. On the way back in the afternoon, we went to the bus stop across the street where we got off in the morning. One thing we noticed here, the #10 jitney seemed to stop in front of the Sheraton before going to the bus stop, we could have saved the 2-3 minutes walk back to the stop.

7. My wife and I was discussing something on the Nassau map and I might have mentioned The Fish Fry aloud. One of the locals was nice enough to give us information on where it is and even alerted us when we reached the place. Although we did not visit the Fish Fry, we were appreciative of the gesture.

8. Got off the same place at George St and visited the Straw Market before going back to the ship.

All in all, the Sheraton experience is worth it compared to our previous cruise where we went to Junkanoo Beach (JB). In Sheraton there is no worry about your stuff whereas in JB, you will always have to be on the look out.
