Help with driving directions to LONG BEACH pier?

I've mostly sailed out of San Pedro, and the ony time I sailed out of LB we took a limo. This time it's a GALS CROOZE™ so my Perfect Man™ will be dropping me off tomorrow. He's planning on hanging a bit until we get on the ship, so can anyone help with driving directions (I know 5 south to 710)? I remember a parking structure... but not sure exactly how to get there, and isn't the entrance to the parking structure where you drop your bags with the porters?

I'm requesting specifics, but I'd rather be überprepared than cluefree.

thanks!
