Post Cruise Car Rental

Thinking about renting a car from Budget in Port Canaveral post cruise. I have a 1:30 flight out of Melbourne Airport. I'd have to be at the airport around 12:30 would this be doable? It looks like the drive would be about 45 minutes. How much time would I need to allow from shuttle pickup to leaving Budget (waiting in line, complete paperwork)?

 

I did look into shuttle options as well as taxis. The car rental for 2 would be far less expensive.

 

Any advice would be appreciated?

We have waited in line as much as an hour and once even more. My advice is get off the ship on the early side and if a shuttle wait is too long get a cab to the car rental place. If the shuttle drops off a lot of folks you could be at the back of the line.

Thanks for the great suggestion about getting a cab. Do you know how fare the ride would be from Port Canaveral to Melbourne?
