beachpearl Posted October 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Hi I will be in Nassau, Freeport & Great Stirrup Cay in a few weeks. I plan to got to the beach each day and am a little concerned about baking in the sun. I'm fair skinned and burn easily. So my questions are: 1. Going to Radisson (or is it Our Lucaya or is it the same place, just renamed?) for the beach. I know they have chairs and lounger, but do they have umbrellas also? 2. Going to Junkanoo free beach in Nassau. Are there umbrellas rentals there? 3. Will be spending the entire day at the beach at NCL's Great Stirrup Cay. I know they have clam shells, but I have heard they're really hot inside. Lastly - do any of the shops or straw markets sell beach umbrellas and how expensive are they? I don't plan to take it home with me, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on something I am going to leave behind. ANY input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! scubagirrl Posted October 8, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Anyone? No umbrella rental on junkanoo beach that I can recall. There is a shop, just outside the port exit that sells them.. not expensive Just walk out the gate where they board the taxi's. it's the first store on the right across the street. agc291 Posted October 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2012 I am not sure about NCL but there have been threads about other lines that allow you to bring your own with you on board if you dont mind toting them from place to place.
