figgy0223 Posted October 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2012 Husband and I are going to Guadeloupe on the Brilliance of the Seas late next month and its one of the few islands we haven't visited yet - what would you recommend for a husband and wife on their first trip away from their toddler??? We like to experience the islands and not really into just sitting on the beach.
lah66 Posted October 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2012 Good Luck with this! We are on the Brilliance in March and having a heck of a time figuring out what to do...the best we have found for us so far is taking a cab to St Annes beach and snorkeling....I have read a review of one woman who went on an excursion that included lunch at a local home, a hike to a waterfall and more island touring but it certainly is not well advertised...Make sure to bring Euros, they do not take dollars...and bring a french guide...you get better treatment if at least you try to speak French... have you looked into the ships tours? we do not usually go that route but this may be a good port to do so...or just stay on the ship...Could you report back after your cruise? From a past Wisconsin-ite (Green Bay & Pleasant Prarie)....Lauri
