2 bedroom Suite options in FLL- family of 5

I'm looking for suggestions for a pre-cruise hotel in Ft. Lauderdale that has 2 bedroom suites. We have 3 children- 2 of which go to bed fairly early (3 & 7) and a 16yr old. So we hate to have a dark and quiet room at 8pm when we travel!

2 bedroom suites are perfect for us, but we have made do with a 1 bedroom suite- with a door that shuts.

It would be great if this hotel also had:

Shuttle from airport

Shuttle to port

Free breakfast

But those aren't deal breakers.

Thanks for any input!

No idea on the shuttles from airport or to port, but the Homewood Suites has these types of rooms. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room/kitchen in between. The living room also has a sofa bed in case you decide the 16 year old can stay in there, with the tv, and not disturb the younger ones in the one bedroom (or you guys in the other for that matter LOL).

The only drawback to this hotel is the location doesn't really have much around it. There is a gas station on the corner and a bakery a couple doors up, but that's really it.

The Hyatt House (formerly Summerfield Suites) on SW 18th Ave also has these types of rooms, and also has some restaurants around it across the road at Oakwood Plaza. I do believe this hotel has shuttles, but they might not be free.

It looks like the Springhill Suites in FLL has free airport shuttle service and free breakfast but only one bedroom suites.

The Residence Inn Fll has two bedroom suites but does not appear to have an airport shuttle. They do offer a free hot breakfast.

I guess it would just come down to price and how important that extra bedroom would be -vs- the cost of a taxi or shuttle.

:) :)

Hyatt House (formerly Summerfield Suites) has 2BR/2/BA suites and pullout sofa sleeper. They have full kitchen which is nice for a family to have the extra space, table, refrigerator, microwave and sink even if you don't use the range to cook anything. They do have a nice breakfast which would save a considerable amount of money for your family. They do have transportation packages available to both POM and Port Everglades included in their room rates, but when I stayed there a couple of years ago the shuttle to Port Everglades was $8 per person and a taxi was about $20.

They don't have very many of these 2BR suites (they used to be called Trios) and they book up pretty far in advance so I would make a reservation for one now and hold it until you are sure. You can always cancel later if you find something that works better for you.

It's located near Oakwood Plaza Mall with several restaurants including, but not limited to Taco Bell to McDonald's, Burger King, Dave and Buster's, Sweet Tomatoes, TGI Friday's, Red Lobster, Hollywood Ale House, etc., etc,.

In the plaza there's a K-Mart that has wine and a BJ's Wholesale where you don't need a membership to buy liquor.

The Cambria Suites #22 on this map has 2 bedroom suites.

The Hyatt House #24 on the map also has them.

The Residence Inn that was mentioned also has them, but no shuttle.

The Homewood Suites in Dania does NOT have 2 bedroom suites.

They only have 1 bedroom suites:
