Best places to find coral or rocks for decoration?

I'm weeding out my silk plants, I have no green thumb, but I'm following Nate Berkus' advice in putting natural elements in our home. I'm an Oprah fan, can you tell? I'm wondering if there are places in Mexico where I can find nice pieces to display. We'll be in Aca, Zijua, P.V., and Cabo in Jan. '06. Am I allowed to bring this stuff back if I find some pretty pieces on the beach? I'm not into shopping for nicknacks, but it would be nice to have some kind of travel keepsake. I'd like some coral, some smooth rocks?.... Anyone?
