gigivic Posted May 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2005 Flew into Seattle for our Alaska cruise. Leaving out of Vancouver. Took the quickshuttle as some people had suggested. Took almost "7" hours from Seattle to Vancouver. We stopped 1000 times I know. Seats very uncomfortable. Will pay the extra bucks from now on to fly directly into Vancouver. This was what was supposed to be 4 hours at the most. Cruise was wonderful though.
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2005 I have never recommended anyone taking Quick Shuttle either from Seattle to Vancouver or vise versa. Have read a lot of horror stories. In 2003 when we did back-to-back Alaskan cruises in and out of Vancouver, many people thought they would get back to Seattle from Vancouver quicker by taking that "quick" shuttle. The return to the states from Canada was terrible for them. We had met a couple who chose not to buy HAL's bus transfer and do the quick shuttle. We had exchanged e-mail addresses on the ship. When they contacted us, they informed us that they missed their plane out of Seattle because it took so long for them to get through security at the border plus all the stops the bus made. With security getting even tighter between the borders, it may become a bigger problem. You didn't mention how you returned to Seattle or did you fly directly home from Vancouver? So glad you enjoyed your Alaskan cruise.
