Regatta, concierge rm, early boarding, when is room ready?

That depends on just what to,e you board. If you board at the 11am time, no, your room won't be ready. They will send you to the buffet for lunch and will make an announcement when rooms are ready. They are ready top-down (i.e., concierge first).

If you arrive later in the afternoon they should be ready.

For example, we boarded Marina in Civitavecchia a year ago and could have boarded at either 11am or 1pm, I forget (we were in a suite). But we didn't get there until around 4:30 for a 10:00 departure. So our room was ready. But if we'd left at check-out time from our Rome hotel, it probably would not have been ready yet.

Don't forget there are a lot of Concierge cabins (around 102 on Regatta), and they won't all be ready at the same time. Your "early boarding" priority is just that; the opportunity to board ahead of the rush. It's most likely you'll have to wait for your cabin to be ready if you board at the earliest opportunity. They do start at the top and work down; but remember there are 10 Owners and Vista suites and 52 Penthouse suites that also have early boarding. Assuming double occupancy, that's 328 passengers with early boarding privileges versus potentially 356 passengers in the "other" group (assuming the ship is full). That's almost 50/50 and is the primary reason they split up the times to avoid everyone arriving at the same time.

They won't make the announcement that cabins are ready for either group until all of the cabins for that group are ready.

I think the crew works harder on turn-around day than they do on most of the others days put together...what a fabulous job they do!
