Hi all, We have booked a gaurantee cabin, can anyone tell me if RCCI give you your cabin number before you cruise, ot do you find this out at the pier, thanks Carol

The stateroom can be assigned anytime up until the day of the cruise. There's no pattern to it. The 3 times we have done a guarantee, it's been assigned within a few days of booking.

Sign into the "My Cruises" area of the website. You should see your cruise (or you should be able to add it with your reservation number and details). Initially the reservaion will say guarantee (or such), but for most people a cabin number will eventually appear...could be hours or days or weeks until you are assigned. A few people must wait until they get to the pier to get an assignment.

Anytime after final payment up until day of departure. Usually a week or two ahead of departure from what I understand.

I cannot prove it, but my theory is: the longer one waits for the assignement, the better one's odds of a nice upgrade. Not that waiting is a promise of a nice upgrade, but I think a higher %. Hang in there...
