One special place?

We'll be on Barbados for the first time on Celebrity Summit in January. DW has major back problems and can't handle a 2-4 hour tour with lots of sitting/walking/standing. Is there any one place that's special about the island that's a short ride from the port that we could grab a taxi to get to?

If you like beaches, check out one (or more) of the west coast beaches. There are several within a 15-20 minute cab ride from port.

 

Brownes Beach at Carlisle Bay (just south of B'Town) or you can venture further south along Hwy. 7 to Accra/Rockley.

 

Just north of B'Town there's Brandons and Brighton beaches, and if you go a little further, Batts Rock, Paynes Bay and Sandy Lane, to name a few.
