Intercontinental Barclay New York

We are cruising out of Manhattan March 3 on the Jewel. We would like to drive into the city the day before and are looking at the Intercontinental Barclay for the night. We are hoping we will be able to do Central Park Zoo. Is this hotel a good choice? We know we will be paying to park but consider this part of the cost of the room. We are also planning on parking at the Cruise port. Any suggestion as to what time we should arrive at the port?

Thanks....

It's an older classic-type hotel in a good location (although not very close to the Central Park Zoo...about a mile walk)...certainly nothing terribly wrong with it, but without knowing the price you're considering paying it's not possible to say if you could do better for the same or less money.

We usually like to arrive at the cruise terminal between 10:30 and 11 am.

We are paying close to $200.00 with tax. The reviews really only complain about small bathrooms and slow elevators! We want to be close to anything that may be interesting with a 1 year old. Thanks for the reply.
