Short four-day cruise. Question regarding Ensenada?

This is our first cruise and one of our stops is Ensenada. Where exactly are you when the ship docks? Will we be within walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. or will we have to find transportation?

 

We have been looking at the RC site and are having no luck. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

If I remember right, there was a complimentary bus ride to town sponsored by the good shopkeepers of Ensenada.

My wife and I went on a simular cruise about 10 years ago. We walked to town had a beer at Husongs(one of our old stomping grounds in the 60s) visited the shops and walked back to the ship.

 

We enjoyed the walk as you get a better feel for a place that way. Yes there are shuttles and taxis availalble.

Thanks for the replies and the link to the previous discussion, they were helpful. We have no problem walking and are pretty flexible. Our kids (19 and 17) were hoping to "experience" Ensenada by doing some shopping and sight seeing. I think we will get off the ship and go with the flow. Thanks again.

Just got back. Bus/shuttle to shopping area and restuarants is $3.00 round trip. They leave about every 10 minutes. Lots and lots of shops in walking distance and the popular food/bars. Hussongs, Paps and Beer, etc. Have a nice time.
