Cozumel during a holiday?

We will be there on 2/4 and heard that was a holiday for them. Will we have trouble getting to Paradise Beach and back? Should we just enjoy the parades? Also, are ALL taxi's ok to use for getting to the beach or do we need to be careful? Thanks so much!

Feb 4th is Mexican Constitution day; there will still be plenty of cabs available. The taxis lined up at the pier are reputable and the fare to PB and most tourist destinations is clearly posted; the fare back should be the same as the fare form the pier to PB -- having exact change will help; if you give him a $20 for a $15 fare "some" cab drivers will discover that they are out of change :( or will offer to provide change in pesos, which will require math to ensure that you get the correct change. :eek:
