Things to do in Belize with young children

Looking for things to do/beaches with young children. Is there anything around the tendering area?

There are shops and places to eat but nothing really for kids. Look at ship excursions or even private excursions. They are big enough for cave tubing or go to one of the keys for a beach day.

I've heard the zoo is very nice.
