motoryacht Posted January 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2013 I want to bring some CD's along on our next cruise and am wondering if burned CD's will work in the DVD players in the full suites. A couple of our machines at home will not play them. I like to save the originals so we always burn a copy when we get them. Thanks for any help. bhopal21 Posted January 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2013 There is really no way to tell. Since you have problems playing them at home they may or may not play in the Princess machines. On the other hand we have never had any problems playing commercially produced cd's or dvd's in the cabin players. Sorry I couldn't give you a definitive answer. Mike:)
motoryacht Posted January 31, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Thanks Mike, I guess we can just bring the originals. Not that big of a deal. I was thinking of having our son burn certain songs on a couple cd's. Our favorite island music, etc. thanks again
sminfiddle Posted January 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2013 There is a difference between burned CDs. It's very likely that "regular" format CDs will play just fine. (also known as AAC format) "MP3" Cds may or may not, depending on how old the players are. Hope this helps! Rick

The players probably vary all over the fleet so better stick to the old-school, "Audio Album" style CD. Or go to Radio Shack and get a cable that hits your phone or iPod, and has the Red and White connectors. Plug those into the TV to play tunes. wonderpig Posted January 31, 2013 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Also consider putting your cd's onto a DVD. You can put several cd's onto one dvd-r.
