How far to the shops???

:cool: My DH and I are taking the ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen on our next cruise in a couple of weeks. We have shopped alot in Cozumel and have never been to Playa del Carmen. How far are the shops from where the ferry docks? I have read that 5th Avenue is where the shops are located...Is this true? WHat other shopping areas are close to the beach? Thanks for your help!:D

Basically the beach runs pretty much along the length of PDC - so it is easy to get to from Avenida 5 - which is the main shopping area. Basically you can just walk down towards the ocean along any of the streets that CROSS Avenida 5 (which is parallel to the ocean).

It is not a long walk to the shopping area from the ferry docks.
