Bringing beverages onboard Carnival

I had planned to bring bottled water with me but now I see that it can only be brought on in the carryon. Should I pack water in my suitcase and switch before I board?(I am arriving by plane) or just skip it? Is it ok to drink water from a faucet on board?

The water on board the ship is about as pure as you can find anywhere in the world, and tastes great. Absolutely no reason to bring more than one refillable bottle per person on board.

I wouldn't pack bottled water in a suitcase -- the bottles are so thin they will break easily.

The water from the ship's taps is much better than what we get at home.

I always fill a small suitcase with bottled water and bring on board and have never had a problem. My whole family drinks fr. them. On land we always use a reusable water bottles so I don't feel too guilty about it. While dining we all drink the water provided and have never had a problem in our 12 cruises we have taken. I esp. want the water bottles when going ashore and will usually carry several water bottles in my bag for each stop.

Water is definitely one of the items that you don't need to bring. The ship has plenty of drinkable water.

You used to be able to pack it in checked luggage, but the rule now is carry on only. I agree the ship's water is fine. I do bring some diet coke with me though.
